TCI Trainers
TCI Trainer Recertification Option
Current TCI7, TCIS2 or TCIF4 Trainers can use attendance at the Building Caring Communities 2025 conference as their recertification Update. Trainers will be required to attend sessions for every timeslot of the conference, as well as complete a knowledge test prior to the conference and an assessment of any physical skills that are part of their certification.
In order to meet requirements, trainers will need to:
- complete a virtual knowledge test during the 2 weeks prior to the conference, at one of the set times available
- attend in-person on the 10th June to be assessed in physical skills between lunchtime and 4pm
- register at each session attended at the conference to demonstrate participation
It is a trainers’ responsibility to participate in all aspects indicated. Trainer recertification depends on all of these aspects and will only be granted if the trainer successfully completes the requirements for knowledge testing, physical skills (if applicable) and full attendance. Recertification will be confirmed within 4 weeks post-conference by receipt of a new Certification Letter via email.
This recertification will last for the period of time as governed by your local authority. For instance, in Australia, Canada, Israel, and most of the USA it will be for a 2 year period. For the UK and New York State, for 1 year.
